I have been ogling a certain vintage map wall hanging for a while. I absolutely love the simple way they are hung, with wood on the top and bottom and a rope to finish it all off. When I found a map I loved, I knew it was finally time to knock this one off my wish list.

- 2 pieces of 1×2 cut to 2″ longer than your map and stained or painted
- staple gun
- Poster board trimmed to size but leave an inch at the top and bottom for stapling
- You want it to not be seen from the sides but tall enough to staple into the wood frame
Step 1: Glue on your poster board backing
This will give your map some sturdiness and give a heartier option for to staple into your frame.
Step 2: Staple
Staple the poster board into the wood leaving 1″ of wood on either side.
Step 3: Add Rope
Staple the rope into the back of the top frame about 2″ in from the edge. You could also use eye hooks screwed in from the top and then tie your rope.
For this project, I did my first legit video tutorial! I hope you love it! I would so appreciate it if you would let me know what you think in the comments.
