Whether you do a big dinner on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, or both, one of the most exciting parts of the meal is seeing how the table is decorated. I love to see all the beautiful things friends and family choose to gussy up the table and make it festive.
Today I am joining some amazing bloggers to share our holiday tables with you. If you are visiting from Her Toolbelt, welcome!!! It is so nice to have you here. I am such a fan of the buffalo check Amy used, aren’t you?!
Let me show you a bit of what I did for my simple holiday tablescape.
I love white plates because they can be dressed up or dressed down.
By adding a silver charger under the plate, it is a little fancier and a larger statement on the table. A white napkin (I even ironed them, that’s how you know it’s Christmas!) with some greenery I cut from my backyard and a candycane all tied up with some red and white twine, make the plates look festive.
Adding some evergreen boughs to the bottles gave some fun height to the table.
I hope none of my guests are allergic to pine because it is happily laying across my table runner dotted with some more ornaments.
I’m not a wine drinker but for my guests who are, I have put out a bottle and some glasses. I am a huge fan of everyone being able to help themselves whether I am a host or a guest.
Every post needs a great overhead shot, so here it is 🙂
Really, the only thing I had to buy was the white napkins. I used to have gold ones for special occassions but they didn’t quite fit in with my dining room makeover so I had to replace them.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my table. Now you can head over to Brittany, she’s waiting for you at Pretty Handy Girl with a gorgeous table. Here’s a sneak peak.
