Do you have old puzzles laying around from when your kids were little? Ones like these?
I was recently getting rid of all these type of puzzles because my little baby boy is just too old for them now (sniffle sniffle.) I knew there just had to be something I could do with the pieces so I tossed them in a box and forgot about them. Recently, I uncovered them while organizing my craft bins. It was either throw them away or do something with them so I got out my drill and did something.
Naturally they had to be coat hooks right? All I needed to do was attach them to some wood. First, I painted a piece of pine with black paint. Then I used some wood glue to attach the puzzle pieces and let them dry.
For some extra reinforcement, I drilled a screw into each puzzle piece from the back of the wood. Just be sure your screw is not longer than the wood and the puzzle piece or it will look like some sort of farm house massacre.
All that’s left is to find the perfect to hang your puzzle piece coat hook and voila!
