I warned you about me and the memo boards, right? I love them and they help keep me organized. This one was for my daughter’s room. Every teenage girl needs a place to hang all the goofy pictures of her and her friends and my poor girl didn’t have one.
I got a frame at Michael’s like 2 years ago. It was an “as is” sale for $8. But even at $8 it’s a waste if it sits in my basement and I do nothing with it. So after all this time, I finally decided to make a DIY memo board.
All you need to make a memo board is a frame, some twine and a staple gun.
Side note, and a little two for one in the organization department. Use an upside down flower pot as a string dispenser. Works like a charm.
Flip the frame over so that the back is facing you. Tie a knot in the string and staple it to the back of the frame. If you don’t tie the knot, the string may slip through the staple. Once you staple that side, pull the string tight, make a knot at the correct length on the other end and staple that side.
Then just continue criss crossing the twine as you go so it makes whatever pattern you want. And eventually you will have something like this.
I use clothes pins to hold pictures and notes. You could use mini ones too, or alligator clips. It’s such a fun way to keep papers and memories where you can see them.
Do you love memo boards as much as me? Have you tried your hand at creating your own?
