Thank you to Wayfair for sponsoring this post.
Isn’t it nice to start a room with a solid plan? I love being able to see what I am aiming for and creating mood boards is a great way to stay on track with a room design. I created this girl’s room mood board for my 8 year old who has finally decided to update her room….thank goodness!!!
It would have been nice if we started with the plan and went from there, but we started with a wall color. This wall color.
Then we moved on to storage because this room was in major need of some storage. So I built her this bookcase. Things move in a very convoluted fashion around here.
And with that, we had our main accent color, coral. We threw beige into the plans because it reminds her of sand and she really wants to be a mermaid 🙂
Alone these colors are fine, but together I think they create a great overall feeling to the space. Buuuuut then we had to search for bedding, I began to get discouraged about finding a good match for the space. Then we found the most perfect bedding. EVER.
It is the Guinevere Comforter Set from Wayfair. I was so excited that Wayfair agreed to provide me with this bedding for my daughter’s room makeover, but not quite as excited as she was!
Here is the bedding pattern in real life, up close and personal.
And here it is on the bed. The pillow sham that matches the comforter comes in the set, along with the bedskirt. I added the decorative pillows in. I actually had about 3 more, but she said it was too much so those went back. The comforter is reversible too, but why would you hide that gorgeous pattern?
So the bookcase is done, shelves are up (those I will show you soon,) bed is made and flooring is ordered. Phew……I need a break. Oh wait, desk plans are sitting on my workbench waiting to be followed.
Tough to go into the workshop when you just want to curl up and take a nap in those cozy blankets!
More updates coming soon!
