Hey everyone! It has been a week since I posted anything which is a big change from my most recent schedule! I missed you, but I had a very messy workshop I had to contend with (it’s finally organized!!!!) and a television console to create. Let me tell you, building this piece was so much more enjoyable in an organized shop with my tools within reach and nothing to trip over. So let’s take a look at how to build this DIY television console, shall we?

Our oldest daughter recently got her own apartment so, with an empty room in the house, the little ones were quick to start playing in there! For the longest time this tv lived in a family room that no one ever sat in because it was shared with the mudroom and kind of awkward. BUT, it sat on one of my favorite furniture finds, ever! This mid century dresser.
It was beautiful but didn’t provide the type of storage the kids needed. It now lives in my office, yahoooooo!
Given the opportunity to design something with a ton of storage for the kids’ new playroom, I came up with this.
DIY Television Console
It has big, beautiful shelves inside that are great for storing boxes of craft supplies or media equipment.
The best part of the shelves is that I used my Shelf Pin Jig to make them adjustable.
Now the kids can move the shelves up and down based on what they need to fit.
This is first time I have built doors for a project, it was a little nerve racking but my Kreg Jig made it pretty easy! I cannot tell you how excited I was that all the measurements were perfect and everything fit just as I planned.
