August is the perfect time to start snipping your hydrangea blooms. By now, the first flowers of the season have started to dry out a enough that you can enjoy them for a little while in your home before they become the perfect dried flowers for a wreath. I love decorating with hydrangeas and I want to share some of the ways I show them off.
These white mugs were a Goodwill find. Three vases for three dollars? Yes please! Grouped together on my secretary desk, they make a great statement.
I have this milk jug that often sits empty, on my ledge. At least this beauty will keep it company for a little while. I bet if you look around your house, you will find vessels just waiting to be used to brighten things up with a little addition of some flowers.
I don’t know if I have told you, but I am a wicked jar hoarder. I have a hard time throwing away any glass jar. Pickle, caper, maple syrup, they all sit and wait until I find something to use them for. Well, this time was a bottle full of gumballs when I bought it and now it has a second life as a vase.
Time to bring a little of the outdoors inside before the dreaded snow comes back and all you are bringing in with you is the cold!
