I have seen cupcake ornaments floating around the internet and I think they are so cute! I always thought they looked a little…involved, so I never made one. Well today my daughter was home sick from school and we had a marathon DIY ornament session! Nothing cures a cold like glitter.
I had purchased some Christmas themed muffin cups the other day planning on making a tree out of them, but I snuck one out of its package today for some ornament fun.
Take some Mod Podge and apply it all over the top part of the ornament. Then sprinkle some glitter over it.
Put the ornament into the muffin cup and add a little hot glue dotted around the inside to attach it to the ornament. You want to wait until the Mod Podge dries or the hot glue won’t stick to the ornament.
Now use a little dab of hot glue to attach the pom pom “cherry” to the top. Add some string or an ornament hanger if you want to hang it but I think it also looks adorable sitting on the counter.
That’s it! Can you believe how simple that was?
Could this BE any cuter? (Channeling my inner Chandler right there.)
